Dear Future Whales,
In today's note, I'll reveal what could arguably be the most significant news of the year for Web3 (at least thus far), share additional details about the LFG airdrop for those actively participating, and introduce a latecomer to the Web3 gaming landscape with a real potential for success. Let's dive right in.

📰 The Biggest Web3 News in 2024
I've been advocating for Futureverse for over two years now, ensuring that my readers stay informed about what might be one of the most promising projects and ecosystems in the Web3 space. Last week, the news demonstrated exactly why.
The News: Futureverse and Warner Bros. are collaborating to transform the "Oasis" from the movie "Ready Player One" into a virtual reality experience, making it a virtual reality reality, at the very least.
What does this mean: "The Readyverse," as it will be named, is set to be a dynamic and interactive platform that brings together all the infrastructure that Futureverse's team of over 300 individuals has diligently developed for over five years. This partnership harnesses the IP and distribution capabilities of Warner Bros. to create a groundbreaking experience. You can find more detailed information about this exciting development here.
🎧 News on the LFG airdrop
If you missed the LFG airdrop over the past few weeks, round 2 is here and there are a few ways to participate.
As a reminder, LFG, or the polite breakdown of "Less Fees and Gas," is strategizing on how to attract ETH maxis to Solana. The easiest method to participate in round 2 of this airdrop is by acquiring a .Sol domain name. The advantages of a .Sol domain, when compared to ENS .Eth domain names, are that .sol domains are quite affordable at around $21, and they have a perpetual lifespan, which sets them apart significantly.
One of the early criticisms of this airdrop was the lack of liquidity backing the token, and LFG is actively working to address this issue. The second way to participate is by providing liquidity on Orca, becoming a liquidity provider, and earning additional multipliers and daily rewards. However, as with any farming airdrops, it's essential to proceed with caution. Use your speculative hot wallets, ensure you're using the correct URL, and exercise care when signing transactions to protect your assets and privacy.
Featured Game: BLOCKLORDS
BLOCKLORDS is a truly captivating medieval grand strategy game that I wholeheartedly recommend. It's a game where your decisions and actions carry significant weight, shaping the game world and the narrative in a way that offers a unique experience for every player. You'll find a wide array of playstyles to choose from, whether you prefer farming, fighting, resource management, or ruling, allowing you to tailor your hero's journey to your liking.
What sets BLOCKLORDS apart is its innovative gameplay mechanics, which constantly challenge and engage players, ensuring a fresh and dynamic strategy gaming experience. The player-powered economy adds another layer of realism and complexity to resource management, making your economic decisions pivotal to success.
The web3 component is quite smart, supporting a cross-chain mentality where players can mint their key character on the chain of their choice.
The Alpha: Grab a legacy player to get a faster start. There is a token coming and the team has expressed being quite generous to the early players.
If you want to learn more, I suggest listening to the recent NFT podcast where the founder provides a full breakdown of the game, including additional Alpha that I omitted in my previous note above.
The Lock & Key Model is Coming!
While this may not be on the scale of Futureverse news, most of my readers have heard of SegMint and its launch scheduled for late February. What you may not fully grasp is how SegMint's Lock & Key model will function and, hopefully, make a difference in how we share access to and ownership of our cherished JPEGs. Check out this recent video explanation.

Cryptocurrency is a digital representation of value that functions as a medium of exchange, a unit of account, or a store of value, but it does not have legal tender status. Cryptocurrencies are sometimes exchanged for U.S. dollars or other currencies around the world, but they are not generally backed or supported by any government or central bank. Their value is completely derived by market forces of supply and demand, and they are more volatile than traditional currencies. The value of cryptocurrency may be derived from the continued willingness of market participants to exchange fiat currency for cryptocurrency, which may result in the potential for permanent and total loss of value of a particular cryptocurrency should the market for that cryptocurrency disappear. Cryptocurrencies are not covered by either FDIC or SIPC insurance. Legislative and regulatory changes or actions at the state, federal, or international level may adversely affect the use, transfer, exchange, and value of cryptocurrency.
Investing in cryptocurrencies comes with a number of risks, including volatile market price swings or flash crashes, market manipulation, and cybersecurity risks. In addition, cryptocurrency markets and exchanges are not regulated with the same controls or customer protections available in equity, option, futures, or foreign exchange investing. There is no assurance that a person who accepts a cryptocurrency as payment today will continue to do so in the future.
Investors should conduct extensive research into the legitimacy of each individual cryptocurrency, including its platform, before investing. The features, functions, characteristics, operation, use and other properties of the specific cryptocurrency may be complex, technical, or difficult to understand or evaluate. The cryptocurrency may be vulnerable to attacks on the security, integrity or operation, including attacks using computing power sufficient to overwhelm the normal operation of the cryptocurrency’s blockchain or other underlying technology. Some cryptocurrency transactions will be deemed to be made when recorded on a public ledger, which is not necessarily the date or time that a transaction may have been initiated.
· Investors must have the financial ability, sophistication and willingness to bear the risks of an investment and a potential total loss of their entire investment in cryptocurrency.
· An investment in cryptocurrency is not suitable or desirable for all investors.
· Cryptocurrency has limited operating history or performance.
· Fees and expenses associated with a cryptocurrency investment may be substantial.
There may be risks posed by the lack of regulation for cryptocurrencies and any future regulatory developments could affect the viability and expansion of the use of cryptocurrencies. Investors should conduct extensive research before investing in cryptocurrencies.
